Amy, Jonathan and I had such a fun engagement session up in the hills of Corona, CA. I love when my clients are adventurous and are willing to hike with me up hills and trails to amazing locations. I was especially impressed at this session by Amy who did it in heels! Yeah Amy!! 😉

Since we’ve gotten quite a few days of rain (which is so rare for us here in California), so many of my favorite locations are so green right now. I love it!

Thank you so much Amy & Jonathan! I seriously loved spending the afternoon with you guys! I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in October!!

Yorba Regional Park Engagement Session | How I Met Your Mother Inspired Engagement Session | Citlaly + Pablo | Amy Clemons Photography

Citlaly & Pablo are one of my amazing 2015 wedding couples and we always have so much fun together! I was so excited for their engagement session because they are both so fun-loving and creative! Pablo loves the show: How I Met Your Mother (and I LOVE it too), so we had to tie it in there a little bit. He for sure found his dream girl with the yellow umbrella!

We had the perfect session, with the amazing golden light that Southern California is known for! I always recommend to my couples to do a wardrobe change in the middle of their engagement session. It really gives the session lots of depth and variety! The balloons that Citlaly picked out for the second half of their session added the perfect amount of fun and color to the session!

Thanks Citlaly and Pablo!! I had so much fun with you both and I am so excited to photograph your beautiful wedding later this year! 🙂

Ellory + Sean | Engagement Session

While planning Ellory & Sean’s engagement photos, I knew we would instantly click. All the details that we emailed back and forth about had me seriously swooning. For example, one of the outfits Ellory wore was her Mother’s vintage wedding gown! *swoon* Combine that with amazing sunlight, a gorgeous setting, and the love of her life, and it was amazing!

We had our session on a beach in Laguna and the scenery was breathtaking. Ellory and Sean told me they were adventurous and boy were they ever! So much so, that we crawled on our hands and knees through a 3 foot tall sea cave to emerge on the most beautiful pristine private beach I had ever seen.

Thank you, Ellory & Sean, for allowing me to capture one of the biggest adventures of your lives. I can’t wait to photograph your wedding!!

Chris + Malorie: Engaged | Southern CA Photographer

Malorie and I met back when I was doing hair and makeup in a salon in Orange County, CA. Our stations were right next to each other and both of our bubbly personalities made us become fast friends. Fast forward quite a few years and she is one of my best friends. When Chris finally proposed to Malorie, I was so honored to have her ask me to be their photographer. Malorie and Chris are the kind of couple you want to be best friends with. Their love for each other is so playful and honest that it makes you feel loved just being around them. They live by the beach and wanted to honor their love of the ocean while still keeping to a stylized whimsical feel for their session, so we thought: what better way to do it than to bring part of the beach lifestyle to one of my favorite locations. So we did. We rented a boat, Chris built us a tent frame, we dressed it up and stuck it in an old orange grove in Corona. I love everything about this session. I love the colors, the light and the set up, but most of all, I love these people.

I had such a fun session with these two! Janet, the soon to be bride, had contacted me wanting engagement photos done to send out a save the date photo in their invites and I am so glad she did because we had such a great session! The rain held out just long enough for us to get some great shots and every now and then the clouds parted and we got a few moments of our beautiful California sun that I am so obsessed with!

Oh how I love this couple! Andrea and I clicked from our very first meeting at Starbucks to talk wedding photography details, and I am so excited they hired me to capture their big day! Andrea and Victor are such a fun pair, always giggling and laughing. You can tell how in love these two are by watching them together.

We had two parts to our session, the first a bit more casual and then for our second an all out formal look (which I am head over heels for)! I love how whimsical and fairytale like everything ended up being. From the wardrobe, to the amazing sunlight to the awesome couple. I can’t wait for their wedding day!

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess who fell madly in love with a prince…

I cannot tell you how much fun I had with this amazing couple at Disneyland. Besides it being a couple days before Christmas making Disneyland super crowded, it was such a perfect picture day!

We hung out and walked around the parks for a couple hours just talking, taking pictures and laughing ALOT!

There’s something about shooting an engagement session… it’s special. Being able to witness firsthand, and so closely, the love between two people is a pretty amazing feeling. Especially the love between a couple like Paul and Jessica.

They’re more than just engaged, they are both in love with their best friend, and you can tell that just by hanging around them for a little bit. The happiness that they share is so contagious, I felt more in love with my own husband after leaving them that night.
